EB-5 Investor Immigration: Exempt from President Trump Proclamation

April 23, 2020 – EB5 Charter School Projects and, more generally, the American EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program are exempted from the Presidential Proclamation dated April 22nd 2020. The relevant section of the Presidential Proclamation (section 2 b) (iii)) reads as follows: “The suspension and limitation on entry pursuant to section 1 of this proclamation shall apply only to aliens who: … (iii)  any alien applying for a visa to enter the United States pursuant to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.”

It is a great news for immigrant investors from all over the world willing to avail themselves of the benefits of the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. With an investment of $900,000 (plus related fees) in a project located in an area of the United States with high unemployment rates, a qualified applicant can obtain legal permanent residency in the United States. Our team of immigrant investor experts in Hong Kong is currently promoting EB5 Charter School Phase 55 – Jacksonville Classical Academy, a public charter school located in the north of Florida, set to be completed in August 2020.
